Boston: cultural trip and graduate school visits September 2003
The 2003 Scholars received the opportunity to travel to Boston during the fall of 2003 to visit several graduate institutions and partake in cultural activities in the city. The group visited the University of Massachusetts – Boston, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and Tufts University. By meeting with graduate deans and faculty in their areas of interest, the scholars were able to get a better view of what graduate school will be like. They also viewed lots of historic sites on an Old Town Trolley tour, visited the aquarium and the Christian Science Monitor headquarters, and saw the infamous Blue Man Group while in town. It was a great trip!
